Register as a Doctor
Australian trained Doctor -
Unconditional General Practitioner
- You have completed your primary medical degree in Australia
- You have no conditions or restrictions
- You are able to obtain a provider number anywhere in Australia once registered in that state.
International Medical Graduate
- Your primary medical degree will be from a country other than Australia
- You will have at least 5 years practical experience
- You will have passed your English test and it must be current
- From the 1st July 2008 you must have passed the Australian Medical Council Part 1 multiple choice exam to become registered in Australia or
- You need to be eligible for one of the other pathways
